- Uggh. Wy do we have to be out sacrificing our lives while the Patricians just lounge around.
- I know right? It's not like they actually do any work besides taking away our freedom.
- I hate it! They can't tell us what to do anymore! We deserve the same amount of power -- if not more!

- Nope! We don't like this law. The law is vetoed.
- WHAT?! Uggh. Fine.
- I hate life. Even though we make up about 95% of Rome's population we have no rights. We can't be priests, government officials -- we don't have anything! We're even forced to serve in the army while the Patricians just sit back and relax.
- We are tired of not getting the same rights as the Patricians. We do all the work, and yet what to they do for us? Nothing! You know what, we Plebeians will march out of the city and camp by a nearby hill. We won't come back until we get more power!
- Finally! We heard news from the Patricians. They'll let us elect officials that represent us in the Senate! We're also getting the power to veto decisions! First things first, now that we actually have SOME power, we demand that laws have to be transcribed so the patricians can't change them whenever they want. Eventually, a couple years later, in 451 B.C.E, they agreed!
- Yes! After 84 years, a new law that gives us more power. Now, one of two consuls has to be a plebeian. Can you believe that? We can actually be a consul member! The best part is that the former consuls now had seats in the Senate, so because of this, now we are also allowed to be senators!
