- Circe tells Odysseus to go to the underworld and pour libations and perform sacrifices to attract the souls of the dead

- in order to talk with the dead you have to make sacrifices ans this is what odyssues does

- yes, you will return home, reclaim your wife and your palace from the suitors then make another trip to a distant land to appease posieden 
- Odysseus is looking for Tiresias because they are a blind prophet who will tell him how to get home.
- elpenor is one of his crewmen that lost their life by breaking his neck off of circes roof.
- Tiresias tells Odysseus that posieden found out about what happened with the cyclops and he tells Odysseus that he must go back and take blame once he goes home and lets everyone know hes alive 
- Odysseus then leaves in fear because, Achilles said that he would rather be a slave on earth than a king in the land of the dead told him that his son , acted very bravely and killed many men, which pleased Achilles. Then the shades swarmed violently around him, wanting to talk to him. He ran back in fear to his ship, and they set sail.
