- Hey everyone! My name is Kamilah and I am so excited to be learning with you all! I am a secondary school teacher with the Waterloo Region District School Board. Currently I teach English and Leadership, but my other teaching subjects include Law, Politics, Social Science, ESL and I have a Specialist in Guidance and Career Education.What can I say?I REALLY like learning! ...Like...A LOT!

- Over the past 6 months, I have learned a lot about the impact of storytelling when it comes to building connections and understanding myself and my students. As an English teacher, I have a deep appreciation for figurative language and found the use of metaphor extremely helpful in understanding my teaching journey these past few years.

- What I am really looking forward to is understanding different forms of research and applying it in a tangible manner to my teaching practices. I want to be able to use data in combination with story to help my students understand the world they live in. I want to help make their learning enjoyable but also relevant.
