  • Yea! Judicial review is Judicial review is a process under which executive or legislative actions are subject to review by the judiciary.
  • I heard that it has to do something with the constitution?
  • Yes, they declare if something follows the constitution or not. Whether it's constitutional or not
  • Where did the power of Judicial review come from?
  •  Established by the landmark decision in Marbury v. Madison, 1803.
  • But what it they don't listen do they have to follow something?
  • No law or action can contradict the U.S. Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land. The court can only review a law that is brought before it through a lawsuit.
  • How does the Supreme Court use Judicial Review?
  • Over the decades the Supreme Court has exercised its power of judicial review in overturning hundreds of lower court cases.
  • Of Course like when Roe v. Wade (1973): The Supreme Court ruled that state laws prohibiting abortion were unconstitutional.
