I apologize if I'm out of line officer, but I don't think that's quite right.
Both things you mentioned are rights that I have. They're rights that are both protected by the first amendment.
Hmm...
(1) First of all, I am allowed to speak on whatever I please as I have freedom of speech.. according to the first amendment.
(3) I can assure you, officer, that everyone here came voluntarily. They all know what they came here for. We all believe in gun control.
(2) Well, you never know who could be listening. You wouldn't want to corrupt the minds of anyone else.
(4) That still does not explain why you've gathered people here, surely it could have been done some other way.
Well, according to the First Amendment, once again may I add, I have the right to freedom of assembly. Which would mean I am allowed to gather these people here to protest for our cause, especially since this is a public area. There are no signs that restrict any of us from gathering here.
