- Jack Osborne and his family's house is being ransacked by bad people that his dad sold drugs to. They told Mrs. Osborne that if she told anybody that the robbers were there, that they would kill her whole family.
- Ok I won't tell anyone.
- Eww! This town is very small and dirty.
- I know right! At least they have a play going on! I'm going to audition for it.
- The Osbornes had to move and change their names to the Granger's. Jack changed his name to Zach and Joanne changed her name to Wanda. Elko is a very small town and their house is a lot smaller than it used to be.
- I'm still mad we had to change our names!!!
- Welcome to Elko
- Peter Short the school bully finds Zach's journal and reads it finding out all about who Zach really is. A mysterious man asks Peter a couple questions about this new kid Zach and finds out this is the family they are what they're looking for.
- What's this? Oh! It's the new kid Zach's journal! I wonder what's inside?
