  • Ismene, I am going to bury him. Will you come? Creon is not strong enough to stand in my way

  • Glisser: 2
  • She will not die here, king. And you will never see my face again.
  • Go join them, then; if you must have your love, Find it in hell!
  • Creon's willing to kill his own son because he hates Antigone so much and his son loves her to death
  • Glisser: 3
  • These are no trifles! Think: all men make mistakes, But a good man yields when he knows his course is wrong, And repairs the evil. The only crime is pride. Give in to the dead man, then: do not fight with a corpse— What glory is it to kill a man who is dead?
  • No, Teiresias: If your birds—if the great eagles of God himself— Should carry him stinking bit by bit to heaven, I would not yield. I am not afraid of pollution: No man can defile the gods.
  • Tiresias is trying to warn Creon's pride will be his downfall, and that pride is the only crime. But Creon thinks that no man is able to defile crime which started to let his pride take over
