And now it's time for the ladies, who may be last but are definitely not least. Echo Ridge High, let's give it up for Katrin Nilsson, Brooke Bennett, and-... Um... Sorry. Lost my place for a second. Um, so, congratulations to Ellery Corcoran!
Let the Threats Commence!
CORCORANS MAKE KILLER QUEENS
While Ellery and Ezra were on their way to their grandmother's house, they came across one of the most beloved teachers of the town, Mr. Brown, who was hit and killed before they had even gotten there. They were questioned by the police, but it was found that the body was dead a day before they arrived there. A funeral is held a week later. They didn't find out who hit him, nor why, or if it was an accident or on purpose.
Goodbye Brooke
Several threats have been anonymously made towards whomever the homecoming queen might be. Ellery, niece to a previous unsolved murder and daughter of a previous homecoming queen, was chosen as one of the three candidates, though she believes it isn't because the school wishes to welcome her, but rather because the person making the threats rigged the votes.
Who to Trust?
I'm such a horrible friend!
Several more threats and disturbing images have been shown against the homecoming princesses, making the principal of the school eventually cancel the queen and king part of the dance. He'd hoped this would put a stop to all the threats and images and worries, but nothing changed. Some of the threats to Ellery include "CORCORANS MAKE KILLER QUEENS" on the side of an auto repair shop, and 3 hanging Barbie dolls in a cemetery (one for each princess).
And the Killer is...
After all these years we've finally caught you!
Brooke was left at her house after being driven home drunk by Malcolm. He didn't check to see if she made it inside, and instead just drove off. The next morning, the whole town is informed that Brooke never made it inside. Most of the town points fingers at Malcolm, partly because he was the last person to see her, and partly because he's the younger brother of Declan who was the sole suspect of a previous murder.
Why... why... why...
Daisy, Mia's older sister and best friend of someone previously murdered, confesses that she and Declan have been dating for a long time, throwing suspicion onto her now too. We also discover that Katrin hit Mr. Brown, never saying anything about it, and covering it up as fast as she could. I wonder if you actually read through these or if I can just type this in here to make it seem like I have more things written down since there's not much for this slide.
Now Daisy looks even more guilty...
How could you do this?
Peter, Katrin's father, turns out to be the one who made the threats, who kidnapped Lacey and Brooke, and killed all three girls. He was put away for his crimes. Since she couldn't leave the country and her mother didn't want to take care of her, Katrin had to go live with her aunt. Declan convinced Malcolm to ask Ellery out, she said yes, and Ezra asked Mia out, who also said yes.
How could you do all of this Daddy? She was my BEST FRIEND!
