- I wonder what this world is made of?
- This world is made of matter, everything is matter. That bench is made of matter.You are also made of matter
- Matter is what the universe is made of. Everything is matter.
- What is matter?
- There are 3 states of matter. Solid, liquid and gas.
- I don't understand!
- Wait I'll show you
- These are the particles in a solid. They are very close to each other and vibrate. They are strongly attracted. And very little space between the particles
- The hotter the liquid or gas the faster their particles move. For example is there is a fire the gas particles will move very fast.
- This candle is making gas, the gasses particles are very spread out but you cant see them. They move but they are very spread out
- The liquids particles are flowing past each other. They are somewhat attracted. The particles are more spaced than the solid particles.
- Particles are attracted to one another. The hotter the liquid or gas is, the faster the particles in it move. Particles are always moving
- So in conclusion you should know that particles are always moving. In a solid they are vibrating, liquid they are flowing fast each other, and gasses they have a large space between them
