  • Because kings controlled everything and had so much power inancient Mesopotamia kings would act impulsively such as.kings would start wars for land and sometimes if they didn't like the other king.

  • In Ancient Mesopotamia they used the Barter system for trade. The Barter system is when you exchange goods or services without using money.

  • In ancient Mesopotamia, there were different social classes ranked by something called the social class pyramid. Kings and Nobles were at the top, influencing most decisions. Priests and priestesses were second on the pyramid because they were believed to have a connection to the gods. Under priests and priestesses were commoners. Commoners are the regular citizens of Mesopotamia be it farmers, laborers, or any other citizen (except for slaves). And at the bottom of the social class pyramid stood the slaves. Slaves were people who were either captured in war or were in debt and worked to pay it off.
