- Nick Carroway just moved to West egg. He lives next to Gatsby, He visits his cousin, Daisy, and her husband, Tom Buchanon. They are rich and very selfish.
- Glisser: 2
- Gatsby dreams of being rich. He wants people to admire and respect him because of his wealth, and he likes to host parties.
- Glisser: 3
- Nick finally learns about his neighbor, Jay Gatsby and his humble past. He learns that he has been in love with Daisy for years which is the only reason why he throws big parties. With Nick's help, Gatsby and Daisy are reunited.
- Glisser: 4
- Nick finds out that Tom is cheating on his cousin, Daisy with Myrtle. Tom and Myrtle have a violent relationship. She is poor and married to a mechanic.
- Glisser: 5
- Climax
- Daisy realizes that Tom doesn't actually love her so she leaves him for her first love, Jay Gatsby. They plan on starting a new life somewhere else and so they decide to run away together to another city. However, while running away, Daisy runs over Tom's mistress, Myrtle.
- Glisser: 6
- Falling Action // Resolution
- In the end, Gatsby takes responsibility for Myrtle's death. This results in Gatsby being shot by Myrtle's husband, George Wilson. Daisy moves on like nothing ever happened. Nick is heartbroken when this happens and decides to write a book about Gatsby.
