  • We want a new leader!
  • The French revolution started for a number of reasons, such as the social inequality and the massive financial debt. As well as a poor leader. So from inspiration from enlightened ideas and the American revolutions, the revolution started

  • The third estate created a National assemebly to fight for rights. They also stormed Bastille.

  • Haitian Change
  • The France monarchy is overthrown, and the whole social and economic structure changes. Now Napoleon is the dictator and they abolish their old ways and now rule as a republic
  • Haitian Motive
  • The French colonies were run by sugar plantations which slaves were forced to work on, the conditions and racial discrimination against the slaves were so bad that this would cause the slaves to revolt.
  • Work Harder, Sugar is not going to grow itself
  • With Toussaint L'outure as their leader, they led a revolt on the french colonists and the slave owners with an army of slaves. This was because they wanted to fight to end slavery and to acquire equal rights. After tons of fighting Toussaint declares he will stop the revolution if the slaves were released, but he was later captured and died in prison.
  • Toussaint had now passed, but now slavery was abolished, and the Haitians have obtained their freedom. But now they were left with a dictator and were economically isolated which lead them into severe economic issues and poverty.
  • Yay Freedom!
