- Louis XIV left France in financial trouble and in national debt. This cause a struggle for France since they didn't have any extra money to use and there was no set budgeting.
- HE CARELESSLY SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY ON WARS!!!
- You're leaving since you put France in financial trouble!!
- I can't believe I'm getting taken aeway.
- HE LEFT US IN DEBT
- The Three Estates were The Catholic Church (the clergy), aristocracy (the nobility), and all other members of French society (the commoners like the National Assembly) who had the power to decide on new taxes and to undertake reforms in the country. One disadvantage would be these groups not agreeing and causing many arguments. New laws usually weren't fair to commoners.
- We want to raise taxes on the commoners so ours aren't so high!
- HEY! That's not fair to us commoners!!!!
- Make taxes fair!!!
- The storming of the Bastille (the Coup ‘d’ etat) symbolically marked the beginning of the French Revolution. This started because the monarchy was overthrown. The Estates-General helped them gain gunpowder and weapons.
- Lower taxes!!!!
