Ali, how have you been feeling lately, especially after missing that penalty in your last match? Has it affected your mindset or performance?
Missing that penalty has been on my mind constantly. I keep replaying it in my head, thinking about how I let the team down. It’s made me doubt myself, and my heart races every time I think about stepping up for another penalty.

It sounds like the missed penalty is causing both mental and physical stress. The anxiety you feel when thinking about it is affecting your confidence and performance on the field. Do you think it's impacting your focus and decision-making during games?
Physically, I’ve been feeling tense, especially in my legs. I feel like my body freezes when I think about taking another penalty, and that’s affecting how I play overall.

That’s understandable. The cognitive anxiety, like replaying the penalty in your mind, is causing you to doubt yourself, while the somatic symptoms, like the tension in your legs, are your body’s way of responding to that anxiety.
Yeah, my SAS-2 results show high cognitive anxiety, which makes sense because I can’t stop thinking about that missed penalty. I also have moderate somatic symptoms, which explains why I’ve been feeling so tense during games.
