- No ways! they did not pay me for the day I went on a shop steward training.
- This is confusing I should go and consult my boss maybe there was a technical error.
- Miss Wellington I have checked my pay slip during my tea time. I saw that I didn't get paid for that day I went on a training. Is there maybe a technical error?
- I know that you were not paid for that day and there is no technical error.
- In this scene Mark who is a shop steward at his workplace is at the canteen looking at his pay slip. He then finds out that there was an error in his pay slip.
- Ma'am are you aware that I have to be paid for that day? That training is part of my duties as a shop steward.
- Do you expect us to pay you while you were not here!!?
- He is now confused and considering to go to his boss.
- Yes ma'am you are obliged to do so.
- We are not going to pay you Mark and that's the end of discussion!!!!!
- Mark is at his boss office trying to find out if there is an error in his pay slip, because according to his rights as a shop steward he is suppose to get paid when taking day off for shop steward trainings.
- Well in that case I will have to contact the union leadership about this.
- Mark is telling his boss about his duties as a shop steward. According to the law shop stewards have a right to paid time off to attend training.
- The boss is furious and is not handling the matter in a correct manner.
- Mark leaves his boss office to make a call to his union offices.
