  • Here are the Ten Commandments.
  • Moses was an Israelite who was adopted into the Pharaoh's family as a baby. God told Moses to ask the Pharaoh to let the Israelites free but the Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go. God was mad at the Pharaoh so he decided to inflict a curse on the Egyptians.
  • This is The Promised Land, Canaan.
  • Moses asked the Pharaoh time and time again to let his people go but the Pharaoh would always say no. God decided since he said no again, every first-born son of the Egyptians would be killed. The Pharaoh finally gave in to Moses and let the Israelites go.Every year, the Jewish celebrate Passover to remember the Exodus.
  • The Ten Commandments are important laws that tell the Jewish how to act ethical. Moses received the Ten Commandments by climbing up Mount Sinai to meet God, who gave Moses the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments are important to Jews, Christians, and others today because if they obey these laws God will protect and support them.
  • Once Moses received the Ten Commandments he continued to the Promised Land, Canaan. Sadly, Moses died before entering Canaan. Joshua took Moses's place and led the Israelites into Canaan. Joshua conquered Jericho by entering Canaan from the east. Three tribes of Jacob settled in the South while the rest settled in the North.
