- Stages of Knighthood
- In order for a boy to become a Knight, he has to undergo two other two different stages before he is fit enough.
- Usually at the age of 7 or 8, a boy was sent to a Lord's Castle to be trained for Knighthood. The young boy was now known as a page
- He was taught to hunt with hawks and falcons and to cut up a deer for venison. He also had to carve the meat properly to serve before the knight
- The page not only learnt to fight, but learnt to sing, dance, play instruments and learn social graces from the lady of the house and the priest would give the page religious training and how to read and write.
