  • Ugh, this intro is still wrong! I need to rewrite it again. Plus, I’ve got that group project meeting tonight... and I promised I’d help with the bake sale tomorrow.
  • You’ve been working on that intro for an hour, Sophie. The rest of the paper still needs to be written.

  • Yeah, aiming for perfection with everything is going to stress you out. Prioritize. Do what you can, one thing at a time, and don’t be afraid to say no sometimes
  • It has to be perfect, and I’ve got so many things to do! I can’t let any of them fall apart. How am I going to finish all this in time?
  • I get that you want it to be good, but you’re overloading yourself. It’s hard to focus when you’ve got a million things on your plate.
  • But I don’t want to let anyone down, and if this paper isn’t perfect, I’ll feel like I failed.
  • Glisser: 3
  • Exactly! You’ve got to stop overcommitting and aim for progress, not perfection. It’s the only way you’ll stay sane.
  • You’re only human, Sophie. You can’t do everything. Focus on getting the paper done first, even if it’s not perfect. The other stuff can wait or get some help from others
  • I don’t have to do it all perfectly just focus on what I can finish.
