- Today is the day Bob and his friend Jimmy planned to meet after 20 years, at the same spot on the same time. Meanwhile a police officer is on round to check on the town.
- Broadway
- When will he arrive?
- Just checking if everything is alright
- It's been 20 years since our previous meeting. There used to be a restaurant here, Big Joe Brady's, that's where we separated.
- Broadway
- Hello officer. Nothing to worry about. I'm just waiting for a friend.
- Good evening mister. Can I help you?
- Interesting!
- Broadway
- Goodnight sir.
- He should be here any minute now, that is if he's alive!
- I went on towards the West to earn, make a fortune, I was 18. Jimmy who was 20, stayed here in New York.
- Broadway
- I knew I'd find you here! 20 years... A long time.

- Bob is telling Jimmy about his past 20 years, when Jimmy suddenly stops.
- I was at the appointed place on time. When you lit your cigar, I saw it was the face of a man wanted in Chicago. Somehow I couldn't do it myself so I went around and found a plain clothes man to do the job. - Jimmy
