- My name is Katie Lansing. I'm the lady in the store who accidentally fell over you.
- This is the only decent hospital in town-lucky guess. Plus your name is on the door.
- Yeah, what can he do for you?
- Well, I guess I just wanted to say I'm sorry about everything that happened, I mean, that is happening... I should go.
- Thanks.
- You scared. Let me tell you something. I'm seventy-four. You know what that means?That means I was around during the civil rights movement. Means that I remember all of that. The segregation. The lynchings. Not being able to do what you want to do, or go where where you want to go. And it's perfectly okay for you to be afraid, but whether you protest or not, you'll still be scared. Might as well let your voice be heard.
- What you mean?
- Planning on it. I think. I just gotta see if I outta here first.
