- There was a man who had two sons. The youngest son had said to his father, "Father, give me my share of the estate." So the father had divided his estate between his two sons.
- Not long after the youngest son had gotten his share of the property, the youngest son had set off for a distant country.
- He had spent his riches carelessly. It wasn't until he realised much later the mistake that he had made.
- When the youngest son had realised his mistake after he had spend every last cent of his share from the estate. There was a severe famine in the country that he was in and he instantly knew what he had to do.
- When the youngest came to his senses, he had went back home to beg his father for forgiveness. The father saw his youngest son return and ordered his servants to to bring him the finest clothes and kill the fattest cow.
