- Down by the bay, we see a pack of dogs.
- woof!

- There are many different colors ofdogs which is called a variation also known as genetic differences.
- Dogs that like water will only mate with other dogs that like water and dogs that don't like water will only mate with other dogs that don't like water. That is an example of behavioral isolation which is a barrier between animals during mating.
- I love playing with water!
- I hate water!
- Without the certain trait, the organism will have a very high chance of dying.
- Flies became food for the pack of dogs. Over time, the population of the flies decreased as the population of dogs increased.
- Over time, more sand colored dogs are formed. Genes are inherited over the time period from the parents to offspring. The closer they are to the sand color, the higher chance they can survive
- why can I ever catch these pesky flies
- over 100 years which is the time they become a new species so they can't interbreed with the other population.

- The dogs that didn't blend in with the sand could not catch any flies. This is an example of selection which is when an organism has a certain trait in an environment that allows it to survive.
