- Sir, I am leaving to go to the city. This new technology such as the cotton gin is taking my work. I need more.
- Wow! I can see the new technology, lots of resources, lots of workers, and a stable gov and economy.
- Big Idea #1
- What!? Why would you go to the city!? It is dirty, dangerous, and people die!
- Big Idea #2
- Woah.. I didn't know there were so many acts to get rid of the Native Americans ! OH WAIT!! Did I just see the Native Americans leaving their land??
- Hey, did you hear about the reservation system?
- Yes sir, but I also heard they were applying a Dawes Act that will destroy the reservation system
- Big Idea #3
- OH NO! That guy has taken our farm and made it into a railroad and all my friends are now gone. I heard that this railroad will be really helpful with transportation tho. IT will improve the economy with different time zones and product movement.. But still it has made farmer McDonald very sad.
- Big Idea #4
- I'm going to take your farm. I need it to expand my steel monopoly.
- This is what happens when the government doesn't interfere with our economy. I HATE LAISSEZ-FAIRE!
- WHY? Don't you already own the whole process of steel making AND all the other steel businesses ANDREW? You make so much and I make so little.
- Strike! Strike! We are the American Federation of Labor. Because Collective Bargaining failed, we must strike!

- Geez! These factory owners must be treating these workers horribly! Yet, it is hard to strike because everyone has a family they must support and bring home money to.

- You guys should try Arbitration. That is what we use in my union, the Knights of labor.
- Because one industry is on strike, we all must strike!
- We are the Industrial Workers of the world!!
