- It was the first day of online learning. I had never done an online class before (besides during covid, which was different), especially an Ap class, and I thought it was going to be easy.
- It couldn't be that bad.
- After my mom told me about the war, I finally decided to see it for myself. I saw the images of those poor children in the war and made me realize that war is like black coffee, bitter and disgusting.
- Veronica, the foods here! time for dinner!
- At least 2 children per day are being killed during the war in Ukraine.
- *Ding-Dong*
- Those poor children!
- WHAT?
- I knew there was nothing we could do about it, how could we have, we lived 4,974 miles from Ukraine.
- Why are they doing this? Doesn't Russia realize that they are killing all of these children, they are so innocent!
- I know, but there is nothing we can do.
- I had just gotten the news from your aunt...
- But we have to! They are fighting for their lives, and here we are eating Chinese food safely, with water to drink as well!
- But I didn't care. I was just so mad. I didn't understand it very much, I didn't understand that it wasn't under our control what happens during the war. My blood was boiling.
- I was devastated. I was as sad as wailing winds. I realized that it would be best if we did spend time with my grandmother she had just lost her mom.
- We will be going over your grandmas to spend time with her once your father gets home.
- We didn't even get the chance to say goodbye or spend time with her one last time.
- Please calm down. It is not under our control, and you know that. All we can do is pray for them and hope for the best.
- Later that day after talking to my mom and finally coming to a complete understanding and having all of my questions answered...

- I finally was able to cool down after everything. After that, I would always try to keep the war in mind whenever I and my mom would pray, and my mom would too.
- We pray for those experiencing the war in Ukraine, that they will finally find peace and safety
