- What is Feudalism
- Since you worked in the farms you can come into the castle during battle.

- Ha! We rule this place!
- Feudalism is a social system during Medieval Europe in which people worked and fought for nobles who gave them land and protection. This was a form of payment to the peasants and surfs for fighting and farming.
- Nobles
- What do you need my king?
- The Catholic Church was very powerful. The Church got 10 percent of earnings from all of the people.
- Knights
- A top leader in the land. When the king dies, his first born son will become king. A dynasty is where a family stays in power for a long time.
- Peasants
- Ruled large areas of land called fiefs. They reported directly to the king and were very powerful. Their jobs were to maintain the king's army.
- Could be called into battle at anytime by their Baron. A trained warrior at the third level in the feudalism pyramid.
- Had a rough life. Could be free and have their own business. Others were more like slaves.
- I need food and protection!!
