  • Hello Grandma! I'm studying for an exam on Charles's laws and I had thought that since you love science, could you tell me a little about it, please!
  • Sure Honey ! I will be glad to do it.
  • So these means that Charles's law states volume is directly proportional to temperature ?
  • Yes ! This can be seen by the following formula: V/T = k, where V is the volume of the gas, T is the temperature of the gas, and k is a constant. So, if the temperature drops really low in relation to the tire temperature, expect a warning.
  • Wow !
  •
  • The physical principle known as Charles' law states that the volume of a gas equals a constant value multiplied by its temperature as measured on the Kelvin scale .The law's name honors the pioneer balloonist Jacques Charles, who in 1787 did experiments on how the volume of gases depend on temperature.
  • Yes ! I understood very well and I feel that I am ready for my exam.
  • Did you understand everything we talked about ?
  • Exciting ! Tell me more please .
  • Look at these car ! The Tires of untouched vehicles get deflated during freezing winter days while get inflated in hot summer days. This happens because of Charles's law. In winter due to low temperatures, the air inside a tire gets cooler, and they shrink. While in hot days, the air expands with temperature.
  • Exam
  • Thank you so much Grandma !
  • Bye ! Good luck on your exam honey !!!
