- Traits:Biff is Willy's older son. He is 34 years old. He is handsome, strong but tired and confused.Biff is thoughtful and sympathetic. Major quotes:1."Biff is two years older than his brother Happy, well built, but in these days bears a worn air and seems less self-assured"(Arthur 10). This description is Biff's first entrance. 2.“BIFF: I think I’ll go to see him. If Icould get ten thousand or even seven or eight thousand dollars, I could buy abeautiful ranch” (Arthur 15). Biff is thoughtful, he understands his situationand dream. He is not a man who wants to achieve the American dream.3.“BIFF: I don’t like you yelling at her allthe time, and I’m tellin’ you, that’s all” (Arthur 46). “BIFF: Hap, help him! Jesus... help him...Help me, help me, I can’t bear to look at his face! (Ready to weep, he hurriesout, up right.)” (Arthur 84）。 Biff is sympathetic, he loves and cares hisparents. Although he doesn’t agree his parents at some points, he understandsand respect them. Success/ Failure: In my opinion, Biff is successful, or I believehe will be successful one day.He has his unique pursuits and always tryto find what he really wants. He doesn't follow the crowd, so I think he willaccomplish his cause.
