Good Morning Guys, so for our activity today we'll discuss about what is Newton's Law of Motion.
Okay sir.
Newton's Law of Motion consists of three main laws.
Well, what are they exactly and how can it help us in playing basketball?
Just three?
Newton's first law is, an object at rest will stay at rest until acted by another force or motion or and object in motion(going in a straight line) until changed by another force.
Oh wow, so it's like how a basketball falling after a throw, or it bounces off the backboard?
Oh so that means when we throw a tennis ball over a basketball, it's easier to throw the tennis ball because it has smaller mass compared to basketball?. So it allows the tennis ball to be thrown at greater speed.
The second law is, force equals to mass(of an object) multiplied by the acceleration, just like how you throw or toss the ball.
The last law is, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
So just like when we dribble the ball? It's because the action force is pushing the ball to the ground, and the reaction force is the ball bouncing back up.
So I think that's it for today and I hope you've learned a lot from Newton's Three Laws of Motion.
Yeah sir, because of that clear explanations, I finally get the Newton's Three laws of Motion and how we can apply it in playing basketball.
