- England's owned a lot of lands, they had an empire this caused many tensions because the colonies were tired of being controlled and they got mad. Then sometime later the theory of Mercantilism was made that made it so all countries were in a competition to acquire the most gold and silver. So people were going to fight over land for more of it, and the navigation acts enforce this. Because of this, the colonists started to get new ideas and not good ones this was called the enlightenment, and john lokes political idea supported this.

- The French and Indian War This was a war between Britain and France that lasted from 1754-1763. Britain came out victorious
