- A few hours later...
- Peter & Kit, along with their Secret Service agent Tom, set up camp near The Peel Tower. They wanted to watch the tower because they suspected it was being used by a group who were plotting to commit treason.
- A few days later...
- Tom was watching the tower when he saw members of the group leaving. More and more came out until it was empty. Or so they thought...
- Later that night...
- Tom explained how he was going to break into the tower... and then him and Peter set off.
- I'll pick the lock to get into the tower and then search for any evidence that could be useful. Peter - you watch the bridle path and signal to me if anyone comes.
- Having not heard from Tom for some time, Peter returned to camp to see if he was there.
- I'm worried about Tom, he's taken ages
- I think I should go after him in case something has happened
- I know, we need to do something
- Peter crept up to the tower, hoping not to be seen. To his surprise, the door was open, so in he went.
- As soon as Peter entered, he saw what looked like a pool of blood underneath the stairs
- Please don't let this be what I think it is...
