  • Psyche was abandoned by her father because of her beauty, Aphrodite was jealous of Psyche's beauty.Psyche was worshiped because people thought she was the human version of Aphrodite, Her father abandons her on a cliff to marry an evil Serpent. The west wind carries her to the police and she hears a voice say she is home. Psyche gets called to a room where her supposed husband is to be. She enters a completely dark room and meets her husband.
  • Climax
  • Later on, Psyche finds out that she is pregnant with Cupid's baby, but she is troubled by the fact she doesn't know what the father looks like.
  • Falling action
  • Afterward, out of curiosity, she lights an oil lamp to see her husband who turns out to be Cupid and she accidentally burns him with the oil. He said he had been in love with Psyche ever since his mother Venus had told him to prick her with an arrow. Instead, he pricked himself with the arrow, he explained then flew off.
  • Resolution
  • Psyche hears a voice that tells her she can find cupid, Aphrodite stops her and tells her she has to go through a series of three tasks in order to marry cupid.
  • Task 1:Sort a pile of seeds in one night, Task 2: Get the golden fleece from the sheep, Task 3:She had to travel to the underworld to convince Persephone to give a drop of beauty into the box. Psyche opened the box to save some beauty for herself, she ends up falling into a deep sleep. Cupid had recovered and flew to the Psyche, he gives her Ambrosia which is the drink of the gods, and makes her a mortal.
  • Psyche and Cupid god married and Psyche gave birth to Pleasure. The story is telling us without love and soul there is no connection.
