- Hello, class! Today, we are going to learn about our Lab Agreements! I am going to teach you the very basics and some tips!
- For our first Science Symbol, I would like to show the one that stands for: "Poisonous"! Remember, if it shows this, call me to use it!
- For our second and third symbol, I chose these two. They are very similar, so do not get confused! The bottle means "Compressed Gas" and the other means "Corrosive". Corrosive is the same thing for something that "eats" other things.
- PAY A LOT OF ATTENTION!
- Now...
- FIRE EXTINGUISHER
- When these last two show up, BE VERY CAREFUL! The first means "Flammable" and the other "Oxidizer". When using these, they may catch on fire, so...
- Remember to have the FIRE EXTINGUISHER close by! I will always have it in hand. It will be near the door. Please call me to use it. It IS toxic and may hurt someone.
- Now that you know a little bit more, be prepared... Next class bring your lab coats!
