- The Cuban Rebilion was a rebelion against Spain. To gain The U.S.'s atention the Cubans burned the U.S.'s sugar cane in cuba. They also used yellow journalism to exaturate headlines to make the american public want to entervien.

- The USS Maine was a battleship sent by the U.S. to control the Cuban public in Havana. It was also sent to protect a shipping base in Havana. It was most likely sunk because of a fire that started and ignited the amunition on board

- The Treaty Of Paris was signed on December 10, 1898. It gave Cabu its freedom from Spain. It also gave the U.S. Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philipines. The U. S. also had to to pay 20 million for the damages,
