- Grandfather bought Toto from a tonga-driver and decided to add him to his private zoo.
- Since Toto couldn't live in a cage with the other animals, grandfather took him with him to Dehra Dun
- Toto was kept in a bag that he sometimes tried to escape from
- In Saharanpur, when grandfather was asked to present his ticket, Toto stuck his head out of the bag causing alarm from the ticket collector
- The ticket collector insisted that grandfather pay extra for his fare.
- You have to pay for that dog too
- But he's not a dog!
- After paying three rupees extra, just to get his own back, grandfather took out his pet tortoise
- No charge. It is not a dog
- How much do I have to pay for this tortoise then?
