- There was a kingdom that had been struck by a deadly plague. The prince of the kingdom decided to lock the gate of his palace to stop himself from getting the plague.
- “...who dares insult us with this blasphemous mockery? Seize him and unmask him — that we may know whom we have to hang at sunrise, from the battlements!”
- After months in the palace, the Prince threw a masquerade ball at his palace. He invited 1000 friends and subjects who didn't have the plague.
- At midnight a new guest joined the party but he looked a lot more ghoulish than the other guests. He resembled a corpse and his face had spots of blood making it seem like he was a victim of the plague.
- The Prince became angry that he joined the party.
- The masked man walked through every room in the Prince palace and the Prince finally caught up to him in the black and red room. When the Prince confronted him he immediately died.
- The other guest went into the room to attack the man but they found that there wasn't anyone under the costume and they also immediately die.
