2D and 3D shapes

- I see rectangles on the desks and doors. There is a yellow circle on the wall. These are examples of 2D shapes.
- The tiles on the floor are squares. These are 2D shapes. 2D shapes are flat shapes.
- What shape are the doors on the washer and dryer? What shape are the tiles? Are these 2D or 3D shapes? How do you know?
- The iceberg is an example of a pyramid. A pyramid is a 3D shape.
- The lighthouse is a cylinder. A cylinder is an example of a 3D shape. 3D shapes are solid shapes.
- What shape is the tent? Is this a 2D or 3D shape? How do you know?
