  • This comic will look at all the changes that are happening in your body and how to deal with it.Let's start with the girls....
  • Physical Changes 1
  • Lately my hips have become wider and my breasts have become bigger. I also started to get pimples on my face! What is happening to me?
  • Physical Changes 2
  • Why do I have hair growing in places I didn't before and I have my period!
  • Puberty is the time when your body develops and goes through rapid growth. This is your body’s reproductive system, body organs and brain growing up. These changes can happen at different times for different people and can affect your emotions and behaviours. Relax! Its all normal.
  • Social Changes 1
  • Why are they always looking at me, is there something wring with me? Do they hate me?
  • I wonder why Cass is SO upset all the time? So much drama!
  • Breast development, wider hips and pimples are some of the common early signs of female puberty. This happens because your brain is releasing hormones. Just remember it is normal and happens to everyone.
  • Emotional Changes 1
  • Hormones again! Female hormones, released from the ovaries, are responsible for female body characteristics and for storing and releasing eggs. When an egg is released and not fertilised by sperm it is shed from the body called a period. These things are normal for a girl to go through in puberty.

  • Mood swings can happen and may feel like the end of the world! Your grumpiness may seem overwhelming, but DONT'T PANIC it just those crazy hormones again! Talk to friends and family to help you through.
  • Emotional changes also happens through puberty and you start to have feelings towards someone you want to be more than 'just friends' with. It can be confusing and sometimes embarrassing, but stay positive. Remember that everyone is experiencing the same stuff!
