- When a positively charged ion forms a bond with a negatively charged ion, one atom donates electrons to the other, this is known as an ionic bond.
- I'm a nonmetal and you're a metal which makes us capable of bonding together.

- When we transfer our own electrons between each other, we form ions that are electrically attracted to each other.
