  • This battle was the turning point of the war and it took place on January 17, 1781. During the battle, the British Army approached Daniel Morgan while he set up his defense by positioning his men into three lines with the main force at the back. Morgan's plan worked and the people in the front of the army took a big toll on the British before they eventually got easily defeated by the main force. The Americans won and while also having way less casualties than the British, this victory gave the Americans in the South a renewed sense of confidence.
