Cesar Chavez

- Cesar Chavez has remained one of the most well known activist, even though he died on April 23, 1993. Cesar led strikes against lettuce growers and pesticide use in plants. Chaves' work made him a national hero.
- His family moved to Caifornia and was forced to move around to find work, which cause Ceaser to only graduate 8th grade.
- Chavez was born March 31, 1927. Born to Librado and Juana Chavez. His father owned many businesses, due to the Great Depression, he lost them all. Chaves' whole family was force to become migrant farmworkers.

- Cesar Chavez
- After serving in the US Navy for two years during World War II, Chavez went back to farming work. He became enraged of the treatment that farming workers faced.
- Cesar joined the CSO to help migrants with their problems. This started his activist career. He then founded the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) with Dolores Huerta
