- A long time ago, my brother Antonio, along with Alonso, the king of Naples, tried to kill me and my daughter, Miranda, sending us to the middle of the sea. People thought I was dead, so Antonio got the title of Duke of Milan instead of me.
- But we didn't die! Actually, a kind man called Gonzalo helped us with magic books, so we could survive by magic. We got to this island and found a spirit called Ariel, who helped us a lot.
- One day, Antonio, Alonso and some other men were sailing near the island. So, Ariel, with his magic, made an illusion, so the crew would think that a huge tempest came and the ship was sinking.
- Alonso's son, Ferdinand, thought he was the only one who survived that "tragedy". To atract him to Prospero and Miranda, Ariel sang to Ferdinand, so he could follow the sound.
- I've never seen a man other than my father! You're so handsome!
- Prospero's plan was to make Ferdinand fall in love with Miranda., who later asked for her hand in marriage.
- Thanks! I'm Ferdinand!
- Meanwhile, in the other part of the island, Gonzalo, Alonso, Antonio and Sebastian (Alonso's brother), respectively, were searching for Ferdinand. However, Ariel, in the form of a horrible big bird, made them repent their mistakes commited to Prospero.
- Near Prospero's cave, Caliban, who worked for him, and Stephano, a sailor, were planning to kill Prospero. However, the plan went the wrong way, and both ended being chased by dogs because of Prospero's magic.
