- Rainsford fell off a yacht and swam to the island which is called Ship Trap Island he climbed a rocky shore he saw the light he thought it was a village he got closer and closer but it was a chateau he knocked on the door over and over then the door opened there was Ivan was standing there holding a gun pointing at Rainsford's heart then Ivan clicked his heels and saluted then General Zaroff came and welcomed Rainsford
