- The scene opens with the Judge reprimands the names of those who are accused of witch craft. Amoung those John Proctor who was accused after saying God is dead. along with him is Elizabeth Proctor who was accused after the poppet that was found in her house had the same injury that Abigail Williams recvived earlier that day.
- You all have been found guilty of witch craft!
- Abigail begins to get a feeling of apprehenssion because she realizes that although she is deference withh everyone they still are inept of feeling anything other than contempt towards her.
- When she realizes she is seen as an abomination she gingerly steals money and plans to run away before they accuse her of pretense.
- John I didn't want any of this to happen. I just wanted you.
- Please run away to Barbados with me.
- Abigail I would rather die.
- She runs to John and begs him to forgive her, she also tells him about her plan to run away to Barbados and explain that she wants him to go with her. However John holds his conviction and says she will see him in hell.
- Reverand Hale goes to John and tells him to Sign the paper saying he has conffesed so he and his wife will be freed, but when the paper is signed he begins to have second thoughts and has a contention with the judge and reverend. After the calmity is done with. john was sent to be hung.
