  • When will receptionist opens, I have been waiting here for 30mins
  • Once I get an appointment, I'll bring my mother when doctor arrives

  • Everyday, Same story. My job is getting hard to sort out patients.

  • So that, they will be here 15 mins before their appointment
  • I need to call patients and tell them the status of the doctor consultation . 
  • I came from long distance, I cant go back home So I have to wait until my turn comes in. Its a long waiting. 
  • Ortho clinic is located in Hyderabad, India. It is the most famous clinic for bone related issues for elderly people. It is famous because of the Dr Radha Krishna, MBBS, MS Ortho (Osmania Uni, Gold medalist, 35 yrs practice). Patients usually wait to get their tokens before 3pm itself.
  • Managing Doctors Schedule
  • Its 5pm. Doc is here. He begins consultation. So, I need to maintain the patients consultation order. So that no one misses their order.
  • Doc is not available on next monday. I need to update his schedule.
  • Receptionist usually opens at 3pm. All the patients jump into her and scream for their tokens. The rule is first come first serve, however, patients scream  at each other saying they came first. Sorting out everything and issuing tokens has become a nightmare for her. Covid guidlines are hard to maintain in these conditions.
  • Ortho Clinic Online Management System
  • Patients will settle down after receptionist have discussion with them. Then, She begins entering their names and details in the register and issues tokens. After taking the tokens, most patients will leave the clinic and return when doctor arrives. Doctor will visit the clinic at 5pm always. If patients come from long distance, they will wait till doctor arrives.
  • After doctor begins consultation ,receptionist calls the patients and tell which token number is running. So that they plan accordingly and will visit the clinic 15 mins prior to their appointment.
  • Doctor arrives at 5pm and finish consultation at 11pm. During this time, receptionist maintains the patients flow. She will be busy maintaining the token system. She wishes for online system. if there was one, everything will be maintained effectively there.
