- God said this to Jonah But Jonah did not want to do it and ran away. Jonah was a prophet from Israel and the people of Nineveh were his enemies.
- He got on a ship and sailed away. He did not want to help the people of Nineveh, he wanted God to punish them.
- A violent storm arose. Jonah told the sailors to throw him in the sea.
- God did not let Jonah drown he was swallowed by a great whale and spat out on a beach.
- Jonah went to Nineveh and told them to say sorry. They said sorry for their wickedness.
- Jonah sat in the sun cross. He wanted God to punish them for their wickedness. But God loves everyone.
