- Opening: There was a wizard who disguised himself as an old beggar who came to houses and stole girls. He once went to a man with 3 daughters and begged for food. The oldest daughter gave him bread and with a touch of his finger, she pushed him into the basket and took her to the man's home.
- The wizard gave her anything she ever read and left her be for a few days, later he told her he was going on a journey and was going to leave.
- Thou hast stood the test, thou shall be my bride!
- The man gave her 2 things before he went off on his journey. He gave her an egg and if she lost it, it would bring bad fortune and he also gave her a key. The key would open a door that was not allowed to enter, but she could go anywhere in the house except the room.
- When she entered the room, she was met with a creepy and bloody room and in the middle of it lay a basin. Inside the basin were dead body parts of a person and when she went near the egg fell out of her hand and landed in the basin. She reached into the basin, took out the egg, and washed it but the blood would not come off and when the man checked the egg she was punished by death in that very basin.
- After the oldest sister, the old man took the second oldest sister and when she failed the youngest. The youngest sister put the egg in a safe place, and then she entered the forbidden chamber and put her sisters back together and they came back to life. Soon later the old man came back and demanded the egg and key! Once he saw the egg clean of blood he said "Thou hast stood the test, thou shall be my bride". and his power over her was gone.
- She gave the old man a bag full of gold and silver and told him to deliver this to her parents and secretly her two sisters were hidden inside, she told the sisters once they make it home, they must call to help her. Once he left, she prepared for the wedding and invited the man's friends. After that, she disguised herself as a bird and left the house. When the backup arrived, they burned the house down with the wizard and his friends.
