- The story begins with the couple’s arrival in the village. They are greeted by Leon’s brother Baldo who brings their bullock cart to take them home.
- He changes the normal route for a tougher and rougher route so that she may have no doubts about the tough reality and massive change of lifestyle that she has undergone for their marriage.
- As they continue their journey to Nagrebcan Leon ask Baldo on who told him to drive through Waig (stream) and Baldo answered that it was their father who told him.
- The next part describes their journey through the Waig and the fields and how much Maria and Leon are eager to settle in their new roles. She is especially excited to relish the change.
- After their long journey they finally reach Nagrebcan, they left Baldo to watch for Labang and Maria was afraid because she thinks that Leon's family might not like her.
- When they got home Leon's family talk to Maria and Baldo also talk to his father about what happened when they're travelling, he said that Maria was not afraid and instead she enjoyed their journey.
