- Sultan Mehmet the Second has decided that he is going to conquer Constantinople to expand the Ottoman Empire and make it more wealthy.
- Sultan Mehmet and his army travel to Constantinople.
- Take everything valuable!
- Constantinople is the Eastern Capitol of the Christian world, and is home to the largest cathedral of it's day, the Hagia Sophia.
- This church is too magnificent to destroy! I shall make it a mosque!
- Constantinople has walls that are 4 miles long. However, Sultan Mehmet uses a new war technique, nonstop artillery bombardment. He will pound the city with his cannons until the walls are destroyed, and then he can get in.
- Prepare the cannons!
- Sultan Mehmet and his army pounded the city with their cannons for 53 days until they created a hole big enough for the army to get through.
- Once Sultan Mehmet's army had ransacked the city for it's goods, he went to the Hagia Sophia, and he turned it into a Muslim Mosque. He also renamed the city to Istanbul, and the Ottoman Empire gained more wealth from the trade.
