Here's a list of what I'll be teaching you Dex! Now, time for some exploration!
- Classification Systems- Archaea and Bacteria- Viruses- Protists and Fungi- Kingdom Animalia
All the living things in this ecosystem can be classified using Taxonomy, through things such as the levels of classification or binomial nomenclature!
That is a lot of words. Meep Morp.
Haha! Don't worry I'll go over it all with you!
Using the levels of classification, we can classify an organism from its broadest to most specific terms. There's also phyiscal diagrams of classifications such as cladograms or Dichotomous keys!
Levels of Classification- Domains (Bacteria, Archaea, Eurakya)- Kingdoms (Animalia, Plantae, Protista, Fungi, Bacteria, Archae)- Phylum- Class- Order- Family- Genus- Species
These dogs are a perfect example to show you what binomial nomenclature is!
Their scientific names are "Canis Lupus"
On to our next topic! Archaea and Bacteria, which are both differ from eachother based on their cell membrane, genes, and living conditions
Archaea and Bacteria!- Types of Archaea and how they survive- Bacteria and reproduction- Bacteria pros and cons
Can't wait! Let's get to it Ms. Mother nature. Meep Morp.
This is.... a salt pool! Well, a fake one. I couldn't send us to a real one sadly, but many halophiles live there!
Smells like my mothers famous soup! I should take home some of these Methanogens with me
This is a swamp, archaea called Methanogens live here and make methane!
HOLY. GLEEP GLORP.
This is a volcano. Heat and acid loving Thermoacidophiles live here.
