  • In the beginning of the story,As Odysseus and the Greeks keep on sailing they hear a noise in the ocean that freaked them out and made them lose their oars to steer the boat, but Odysseus takes over and gets everyone in the right place to get out of the situation. In the text it mentions, "Heads up lads! We must obey the orders as i give them"(2). This explains that even though The Greeks and Odysseus lose their path, they are still going to try to manage steering the boat and go on the right path with Odysseus's orders.
  • In the middle of the story, As Odysseus and the Greeks sail towards the Schylla and Charybdis, disaster hits and many of the Greeks get taken away. In the text it mentions, "Then Schylla made her strike, whisking six of my best man from the ship"(3). This explains that while sailing through the Scylla and Charybdis, some of the Greeks do not make it but instead get taken away from the Scylla.
  • In the end of the story,, Odysseus and the Greeks that were left start to sail away from Scylla and Charybdis. In the text it mentions, "We rowed on,. The rocks were now behind; Charybdis, too, and Scylla dropped astern"(4). This explains that after being able to get away from the disaster, Odysseus and the lucky Greeks leave the area. and everything behind.
